Buddies in Beginning Again

Grab your spot

September = Begin Again

Summer summer summer summerrrrrrrrr.

I don't know about you, but I am attempting to reboot my entire life. Not wise. But, wow, it feels like New Year's for us moms, doesn't it? I just want to organize every closet and throw things away and naively consider a schedule possible. I might even color code a calendar.

What is this attempt all about? Well, it's deeper than the instinct to gain control of our environments. It's about our Self, something that seems to go missing when we are thrown into the spin cycle of caretaking. We want our Selves back.

And, like most healthy things, this simply requires basics. Drink water. Go to bed a wee bit earlier. Put the phone down. And, yes, get back to daily-ish movement. The rest unfolds and unravels from there, in my experience.

I am also aware that the basics aren't that simple. They often summon tantrums from within, thanks to resistance formed by the letting go of coping strategies that help us escape but don't help us find our Selves.

My 13 years of doing this has yielded one main truth: I show up because I am held accountable to that showing up. Because it is my job, yes, but also because I am tethered to you all in a very genuine, nurturing, real way. It matters if I show up and that gets me to, well, show up.

I want the same for you and I am working on creating better ways for you to feel this tether and to know that it matters that you show up too.

Join a small group this September where I will be personally joining you through the Begin Again hurdle. I'll also be asking questions and staying curious about what YOU need, what works for YOU - as a member. In the end, we'll have some tools and some new support resources so that this part (the hardest and the most essential part) of your relationship with your body feels more feasible.

Most importantly, why go it alone this year? Set yourself up for the end of 2025 on your terms so that 2026 can feel like growth rather than reboot.
